Surabaya, 27 September 2025 – Suasana penuh kebanggaan menyelimuti acara wisuda Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya (UKWMS) Kampus Kota Madiun yang digelar pada Sabtu (27/09). Acara yang berlangsung khidmat di Gedung Ballroom Kampus Pakuwon City ini menjadi momen bersejarah bagi para lulusan yang berhasil menyelesaikan studi dan menorehkan prestasi gemilang di bidang akademik maupun non-akademik.
Salah satu wisudawan berprestasi Jessica Agatha Paramitha Tiono, lulusan Program Studi Bahasa Inggris, yang berhasil meraih IPK 3,81 sekaligus dinobatkan sebagai Wisudawan Akademik Berprestasi dan Aktif Berprestasi UKWMS-Kampus Kota Madiun 2025. Dalam wawancara, ia mengungkapkan rasa syukur dan harapannya untuk terus berkarya bagi masyarakat.
“Perjalanan selama kuliah tidak selalu mudah, tetapi dukungan dosen, teman, dan keluarga membuat saya mampu bertahan dan berkembang. Saya ingin menerapkan ilmu yang saya pelajari untuk memberi manfaat nyata bagi orang lain,” ujar Jessica Agatha Paramitha Tiono.
Rektor Universitas Katolik Widya Mandala Surabaya, apt. Sumi Wijaya, S.Si., Ph.D., dalam pidatonya menyampaikan apresiasi kepada seluruh wisudawan atas kerja keras dan dedikasi mereka selama menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Ia juga menekankan pentingnya karakter dan integritas dalam menghadapi dunia kerja yang kompetitif.
“Prestasi akademik memang penting, tetapi karakter yang kuat, etika, dan semangat melayani adalah nilai utama yang selalu kami tekankan di UKWMS. Kami bangga dengan lulusan-lulusan yang tidak hanya cerdas, tetapi juga berjiwa humanis,” ungkap , apt. Sumi Wijaya, S.Si., Ph.D.,.
Dalam acara wisuda tersebut juga turut mengundang perwakilan dari sekolah alumni Wisudawan berprestasi,paras gembira dan bangga nampak terpancar dari para perwakilan sekolah alumni Mahasiswa berprestasi.
Acara wisuda tahun ini diikuti oleh 506 Wisudawan yang terdiri dari 3 lulusan Doktor, 62 lulusan Magister, 399 lulusan Sarjana, dan 42 lulusan ahli Madya. Prosesi berlangsung dengan khidmat, diiringi penyerahan medali, ijazah, dan penyematan gelar sarjana oleh pimpinan universitas.
Dengan semangat nilai keutamaan yaitu Peduli,Komit, dan Antusias (PEKA), UKWMS-Kampus Kota Madiun terus berkomitmen untuk mencetak lulusan yang unggul, berkarakter, dan siap mengabdi bagi bangsa dan masyarakat.(Red)
